Everyone’s soon to be “flavourite” eating joint is a food truck hidden in plain sight at 151 Laurier Ave E, Ottawa. I stumbled upon this place sometime in my 2nd year at uOttawa and I still use every chance I get to introduce others to it. I was surprised to see such a long line waiting to place an order at a spot that had just opened up, and once I got my food, I realized why so many people loved it. The very minimal menu of a few sauces, accompanied by a whole lot of their secret chicken and chips (fries for you North Americans) is the perfect reflection of “less is more”.

The few chefs that work here will provide you with some of the best hospitality you have ever experienced, the employees at O – Frango will not hesitate to initiate a one on one conversation with you which will make you feel more than just an average customer; adding just that much more to the experience that you think already can’t be topped. If you’re lucky enough to find a spot on one of the benches just outside the truck, I’d highly recommend you take it. The quiet ambience is perfect to really enjoy the food and focus on the people you’re there with.

O – Frango has definitely made it on to the A – list and I hope they stick around and grow in the years to come.
