As a Gee Gee it would almost be a crime not to grab a bite at Father and Sons. Over the years this eatery has become somewhat of a traditional joint during Gee Gee sporting events, and any other day of the week come to think of it. So last Saturday I finally decided to grab some breakfast here and I wasn’t disappointed; I wish they had added some baked beans to tie the whole thing together but I guess the bottomless coffee was a pretty good trade off. A great place to escape to for a couple hours, and to be honest, there’s just something soothing about having a meal being surrounded by others fighting the same university struggles. Really ain’t nothing like it.
On a side note I realized that the “sunny side up” form of an egg definitely has some identity issues. After the awkward conversation with the waitress about if I want my egg “over easy” I finally understood that the “sunny side up” was but one of it’s many aliases, also going by “a soft egg” “a bull’s eye” and now “over easy”. Glad to have that cleared up.
